N1227 / NC1227 (cn 516) Seen at the Gathering of Eagles airshow, this Howard was actually borrowed by the U.S. military during World War II. It was called the UC-70B Nightingale and given the USAAF number of 42-49075.

N1227 / NC1227 (cn 516) Wearing what I now know to be the classic cheatline of the Howard series of aircraft, this beautiful 1940 DGA was on static display at the 2010 fly-in at Port Clinton. The same decorative "H" motif is displayed on the wheel pants.
