N62477 / 39-25 (cn 2673) The Douglas B-18 first flew in 1935 and was based on the DC-2 airliner. It was considered obsolete at the start of World War II and was relegated to anti-submarine patrols. A B-18 was one of the first American aircraft to sink a German U-boat when one sank U-654 in the Caribbean in 1942. Today there are only 5 left. This one is on display at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum.
