N485US (cn 11235) On March 22, 1992, Fokker F-28 N485US of USAir crashed in Flushing Bay on departure from New York's LaGuardia airport. The plane crashed in a snowstorm en-route to Cleveland killing 27 of 51 onboard. The accident was due to ice buildup in spite of having been de-iced twice since leaving its gate. A young Denise Dufala, still a fixture in Cleveland news, tells us about the accident at her old station. March 22, 1992

I just recently stumbled upon the headlining Plain Dealer article on that same crash in a pile of papers in my attic.
