N44V (cn 4545) Built as a C-47, painted as a DC-3 in Piedmont livery. The challenge of photographing these vintage planes is to capture them with nothing in the background to date the shot. I came close to succeeding on this one. An absolutely gorgeous aircraft!

Great memory. I worked this airplane at the Cleveland Airshow in '87 or '88 on static display and then it did a nice take-off and flyby after the show on the last day.
