| NX12260 / N12260 (cn 12260) Butch O'Hare getting strapped in for a mission in the South Pacific, 1942. Actually, this picture is of the only flying F4F-3 Wildcat in existence, with period actors playing out the roles of pilot and crew. As far as I can tell, nothing in this shot suggests the date as 2005. I took this one at the Akron Air Show, 2005. With the clouds and such, you can almost imagine this taking place on the deck of a carrier. | |||
