| N73137 (cn 88) Seeing Mark's shot of this bird taken in April 06 reminded me that I had a shot of that same Convair myself. I was particularly interested in this one because of its status as the prototype for the Rolls Royce Dart conversion 600 series. Hard to imagine the prototype is still around when so many of its brethren have been put to the torch. Note the B-1 parked in the background, staged here for its demonstration at the Cleveland Air Show. September 1, 2005 | |||

| N73137 (cn 88) Caught this bird on this gloomy day. N73137 (cn 88) The prototype CV640. Delivered to United in 1953 as a 340-31, and converted to cargo by Alaska Airlines when they bought it. Sold to Hawaiian after conversion to 640, then to Zantop now flies for Century Airlines. WOW! What a old bird eh? | |||
