	N556FE / N681FE (cn 46710) Here’s a little different view (with sunshine) of the diverted FedEx MD-10F on the ramp. This type of view of an aircraft opened up isn’t something you see every day. Maintenance crews were doing their best during nasty weather conditions. Look closely; a brave soul can be seen on the lift working on the engine. A couple of Continental (or should I say United) 737’s and a FedEx A300 also got caught in this shot.

	N556FE (cn 46710) Parked bass-ackwards on the FedEx ramp to facilitate a number 2 engine change, this veteran of the airways was delivered to National Airlines in 1972 as N68NA. It then went on to fly with Pan Am with the same registration, then over to American Airlines followed by Hawaiian as N160AA, before being converted to a freighter and joining the FedEx fleet. Like all FedEx DC-10's, it was converted to MD-10 status with a new cockpit that mirrored those on it's MD-11's, thus enabling a common pilot-pool.

	N692FE / N556FE (cn 878) An unusual trio of FedEx heavies graced the ramp this evening at Hopkins courtesy of the MD-10 which diverted here due to mechanical problems en-route from Memphis to Boston. Anything other than a FedEx Airbus or Cessna Caravan is a rarity here!

	N556FE / N745FD (cn 46710) A special guest this evening was this FedEx MD-10 which diverted to Cleveland en route from Memphis to Boston, while operating as FedEx flight 555. The aircraft experienced problems with the number two engine causing the crew to shut it down. It then diverted to CLE where we see it here on the FedEx ramp with the troubled engine's cowling open and maintenance personnel working on the issue.
