03-3680 (cn PT-226) Major Sean "Slice" Hook, pilot of the US Air Force West Coast T-6A Texan II Demo team, taxis out for his performance at the 2005 Akron Air Show. The Air Force has eliminated the Texan II Demo team, and that is a shame. Despite being a lead-in trainer, the T-6A Texan II had a top speed of 350 knots, and performance comparable to a P-51 Mustang. Sean flew an outstanding performance that weekend.

NX12260 / N12260 (cn 12260) Butch O'Hare getting strapped in for a mission in the South Pacific, 1942. Actually, this picture is of the only flying F4F-3 Wildcat in existence, with period actors playing out the roles of pilot and crew. As far as I can tell, nothing in this shot suggests the date as 2005. I took this one at the Akron Air Show, 2005. With the clouds and such, you can almost imagine this taking place on the deck of a carrier.
