N682FD (cn 36279) Diver’s away…The Chicago Fire Dept. Search and Rescue demonstration in Lake Michigan behind the McCormick Center. Their Dive Team and Air-Rescue units demonstrated their capabilities during the International Association of Fire Chief’s Conference in Chicago on Aug 26, 2010. Diver’s retrieved a rescue mannequin then it was hoisted into the helicopter. The rotor wash kicked up the water causing a slightly blurred effect. See the seagull? |

N324V (cn 2874) Upon my arrival in Chicago I was greeted by this Astar buzzing through the skyscrapers. It would hover for a while then zip to another part of the city. I soon found out they were filming another sequel to Transformers (Transformers-3). The “SpaceCam” gyro-stabilized camera was very pronounced. The superb Pilot skills were obvious as the Astar zigzagged through Chicago and the John Hancock tower. |
