N865F (cn 46088) First ,I have to apologize for saying that this was in Seaboard World colors back in 1976. Its in a generic white scheme with Seaboard World titles. But it is the "same" aircraft as the National DC-8 that came in the last few days....roaring off rwy 23L 35 years ago.....Seaboard had dozens of different leased planes with different colors and other airlines titles on them back then..fun times

N703SW (cn 21764) Heres a full colors Seaboard World Containership 747 landing at LAX back in 1980....info on this aircraft showed this 747 had a rare P&W JTSD-70A engines installed..Very smooth not like normal P&W engines..Rated at 53,000Lbs of thrust ,the most powerful aircraft engines at the time. They were developed for -200F freighters....Went on to Flying Tigers as N813FT and FedEx as N636FE

N8639 (cn 46049) I guess our logic was get as much of the plane in the frame as you could. Although it was easy to take pictures at the passenger terminals (you could even get down to ground level), the cargo area always seemed to spook me out. It was like shoot and scoot. I'm guessing this was taken in 1974.
