| Multiple (cn Multiple) Taken with a normal lens in July of 1981, this gives a view of the airport seen from the north side of Brookpark Road. Years before, you would park right up next to the fence, but once they opened the area up on the north side of the road, parking along the fence was prohibited. (Sounds like 2013!) Visible on take off is a Air Wisconsin Dash-7, and at the gate is a US Air DC-9, Trans America DC-10, New York Air DC-9 and an American 727. A nice variety of aircraft, all standard stuff for the time period. Many a car got stuck along the fence line when it rained, it was like driving on the moon. | |||

| Unknown (cn Unknown) Air Wisconsin Dash-7 landing on Runway 5 at CLE in 1982. If I would have had better equipment, and not used 400 asa slide film, this would have been a much better shot. Still, a shot worth posting for historical value. I could not confirm the reg # despite my best efforts. Used to see a lot of the Dash 7 back then. Its takeoffs were always fun to watch because of the very short ground roll. | |||

| N706ZW (cn 049) (Circa 1981.) N706ZW Air Wisconsin operated Dash 7's for a time in Cleveland on behalf of United Airlines. This particular aircraft was written off after it crash landed in Port Harcourt Nigeria while flying for Skyline Air as 5N-EMP on September 7, 1999 with no fatalities. | |||
