	N706BL (cn 21705) Delivered to Northwest in 1979, then flying with Delta and Kalitta, this 747 was photographed on the ramp at Willow Run during Thunder over Michigan 2014. Baltia is a brand new airline currently undergoing certification, with the intent to fly passengers from Detroit Willow Run to European destinations. This is their first aircraft, and was freshly painted overall. It actually looks brand new, not the 35 years old it actually is.

	N624US (cn 21706) Loading up for a Brown's charter to Oakland California, this 747 has since been retired from the Northwest (Delta) fleet and was put into storage at Marana. Recently, the aircraft was purchased by Kalitta and ferried on August 31, 2010 to their maintenance base in Oscoda Michigan. I don't know if they are going to revive it as a freighter or are using it for spares.

Rumors of this aircraft's imminent retirement at the time proved to be not true, as this 1979 aircraft is still flying as of at least July 2009.

	N631NW (cn 23111) The only time we saw an aircraft take off from Rwy 25L the whole time we were here. The second longest runway at LA but the widest at 11,095 X 200. From the judge of all the spotters around me you know that it must be very rare as everyone was hurrying to catch her. Of course I was up front and ready since I basically shot every aircraft I could. Nice and loud!! Best viewed at 1152.

Pictured on the north side hardstand near concourse A, this classic 747 is operating a charter to Oakland California on behalf of the Cleveland Browns football team during the 2007 season. An LSG Sky Chefs catering truck gives up its load to the forward galley for the relatively long flight, while a moving van transfers equipment to the forward cargo bin.
