N947UP (cn 19772) UPS experimented with passenger service in the late 90's utilizing eight of their recently converted 727 QC's (quick change) in charter services to vacation destinations. The seating was palletized, allowing for quick installation for daytime passenger flying, and quick removal for the normal evening freight flying. Here, this 727 originally built for Eastern Airlines is being serviced at gate C-10 on one such service. March 1998 |
