02-0025 (cn D1006) The new USAF CV-22A Osprey parked on closed runway 18-36 for the 2007 Dayton Air Show. Two Osprey’s were present at the show; one for the flying demonstration and one on static display. The Osprey’s are based at Kirtland AFB, NM and will be used for CSAR. The rotors are huge! Unfortunately the show had a tragic ending when Jim Leroy had a fatal accident in his Bulldog II stunt-aircraft during his performance. (7-27-07)
