N430FE (cn 394) This FedEx A310 was a equipment sub today....Delivered to KLM in 1985 it flew passengers for ten years until being converted into a freighter for FedEx in 1996...Airbus never built a pure A310 freighter new...all FedEx's A310F's were converted from passenger aircraft.The only other U.S carriers to fly the A310 were Pan AM and Delta.......nice to see one here!

Actually its the other way around , the (-200) are more plentiful than the wing fence equipped (-300) A310`s. Nice shot George!

Awww, the baby 'bus. Another little factoid is that Federal Express literally traded 5 ex-Flying Tiger 747-200F's to Lufthansa back in the early 90's in exchange for (13) A310's. From what I understand, it may have included the conversion to freighter mods and it helped each airline out.
