One of several aviation memories that will stick with me, is back around 1989 when I flew Pan Am between CLE-MIA. My 727 was pulling into its gate at MIA next to flight 440 which had arrived from LAX and was being prepared for its flight to Rio. My face was plastered against my window as I looked up at that massive 747 tail right next to us, with its big blue globe, illuminated by its flood light. Something I'll never forget.

Nice! I wish I could have flown a Clipper while they were around.

Shame there isn't one still flying in those colors. Should we ever catch Moammar Gadhafi, it could be used to take him on a skydiving excursion over the north Atlantic.
