There is an article about the 747s and their service with Iran Air in the March 2014 issue of Airliner World. "This plane, EP-IAB, operated its final international service to Turkey and back in June 2012. The 1976-vintage ac was then ferried to Tehran/Imam Khomeini International Airport to nearby Mehrabad where it was placed in storage. The last of the remaining jumbos are expected to leave the fleet by 2016." |

Nice shot, it`s hard to believe that Iran still has the capability to operate this jet five years ago and still operate the infamous Grumman F-14 today, truly mind boggling, oil money must have a lot to do with this ? Anybody seeing this aircraft still active please advise ! To tired to research got to get some sleep. |
