N30055 (cn 18341) A United DC-4 taxis to the gate at Cleveland Municipal Airport in the early 1950 time period. A recently purchased photo for my personal collection. The picture caption stated this aircraft was operating as a charter. Try as I might, I could not get the aircraft name or reg number.

Mark- after reading your post, I took a magnifying glass to the original. I confirm the last word of the name is "River", but the name of the river and Reg number still cannot be made out with certainty. Missouri would seem to be the most logical choice- thanks!

Nice shot Ken! I am thinking this is N30055 C-54B MISSOURI RIVER, the name is for sure two words and it appears the second part of the name is River. That is my guess anyway. Anyone else? http://www.geocities.com/aeromoe/fleets/ua1.html
