Unknown (cn Unknown) I caught this C-5 getting topped off by a KC-135 over Lake Erie the other day. They passed over the lakeshore just east of downtown Cleveland heading towards the southeast. I can't quite make out the numbers, but I was still happy to catch such a neat sight at all.

That does indeed appear to be a C-5M, you can tell by the engine cowlings. Makes is a rare bird indeed. That looks like the Dover tail band on it as well which would also confirm it as a C-5M since they're the only base that has them right now. Can't make out the tail band on the Stratotanker.

What a shot- I have seen that very combination in the skies over CLE on more then one occassion. See the attached link to a map of aerial refuel routes over the US. CLE lies smack dab under one of them!
