Boy...I wish I had a recollection of it. I'm certainly OLD enough, I just don't remember ever seeing it myself. I'm jealous!

WOW! I have great memories of the 'Six screaming over my house as a kid. When it took off on 5R heading north there was no mistaking that awesome sound and I would run to the window to try to catch a glimpse. It was SWEET! Thanks for posting!

Thank you for sharing, this photo is a gem. The quality is absolutely excellent, too - in fact, it's so good that it almost looks like you took it just yesterday. I too remember this aircraft operating at Hopkins. You usually heard it before you ever saw it.

WOW great shot, this plane is my second most favorite "century series fighters" followed by the F-107.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! I used to work only a mile or so from the airport, and when this baby took off, the J-75 burner made a double whomp sound that could be heard for miles. Only rarely would I get outside in time to catch it departing.

Wowee zowie! Now that's a classic there! I wonder if my Dad remembers this plane from when he worked at Lewis? Or my uncle at Langley?
