N862RW (cn 17000098) Photo taken minutes after this E170 of Shuttle America (Republic Holdings) overran the runway during a heavy lake effect snow squall, that had only moments before this photo completely stopped. Of the 70 passengers and four crew aboard, only two minor injuries were reported. In this photo, the passengers and crew are still on board the aircraft, and you can see the perimeter fence draped over the forward section as it sits nearly on the entrance road to NASA Glenn. To the right of the plane you can see the ladder section of one of the rescue trucks. February 18, 2007

The NTSB report says the accident occured at 1506. At 1456 the winds were 300/16, at 1517 they were 330/13G19. It looks like RWY 28 was the best runway for the wind conditions at the time.

I wondered this months ago, if there was squalls from the north why was he coming in from the east? Why didn't he come in from the south?
