RA-86570 (cn 1356344) The four engined IL-62 was the principal long-range airliner of the former Soviet Union for many years before being replaced with more efficient equipment. This example is used as a VIP transport, and is still active today as a governmental support aircraft. The only IL-62 I've ever seen at Cleveland, this Russian beauty is pictured as it sits on the Air Services ramp on August 7, 2003 during an official visit. August 7, 2003 |
