I have seen the Caravan dangle in the air like a kite on a string. It is almost funny to see and I can imagine that the Airbus pilots had a little giggle. Spotters are a nice to have but more fun when they are allowed to bring their cameras and play along. |

That's a beauty, John. Speaking of the winds, you should have seen the Caravan taking off this morning. 24L with a climb out to the west. It was hanging on the prop at a standstill like a Sean Tucker air show display. Even the Airbus pilots got a kick out of that. |

Yesterday’s winds were rather strong and the landings were unusual. We watched an ERJ use half of the runway before touchdown, a C208 land almost nose first and a SWA 737 do a missed approach to 24L (missed that one with the camera….my spotter was slacking). |
