Its all coming back to me now- One thing for sure, we made this pic a popular one in a hurry! Thanks for the extra pic, Chuck, that helped a lot.

You can just make that building out in the bottom left of this shot: http://www.opshots.net/gallery2/index.php?page=photos&id=11195

First, Thanks everyone for the great comments..Yes it is CLE...Its the first gate on the right as you walk down the A concourse before it was doubledecked...The UA hanger is exactly behind the plane.. That road that goes by the building with the blocks and the area has changed in 35years..Ill try to find another picture with the same background if i can..I dont remember why it was here but iam glad it was!

Glad it was positively ID'd as CLE. Kind of like looking at your yard from your neighbors house- looks way different then you are used to seeing it! Wish I had a different perspective of it so I could recognize it.

Without a doubt its Cleveland that little building houses a backup generator.

Looking again on my way in today, that building with the little blocks in it is still there...I'm sticking with CLE!

I know...I keep wondering about the hangar myself but figured it must be just out of the frame on the right. It's the little roadway under the tail that keeps making me wonder. Hopefully he will enlighten us!

The more I look at it, the more certain I am its not CLE. We should be looking at the UA hangar from that vantage point, or see the Ford plant. I do not recognize any of the buildings. Looks like the ramp is up on a hill as well. PIT?

I wondered the same thing, but the wall behind the aircraft looks the same as this one but from the opposite angle:

George- was this CLE? The background is not familiar to me at all- maybe shot elsewhere? I had the opportunity to fly on a Wright CV440, it may have been this one- never got the reg number.

Was this a charter. I didn't think Wright moved to Hopkins until much later (maybe early 80's?)? Great shot!
