| N461US (cn 18797) I loved this delivery NW scheme. From my postcard collection, the back reads: "Phase of Flight-Climbing south of Ranier. Northwest ordered 20 (N461US-N480US) of the pictured 727-51 model of the 727-100 and 12 (N488US-N499US) of the convertible freighter 727-51C model. N461US was the first delivered to NW on November 12, 1964 and along with N462US introduced 727 service for NW on December 15, 1964 on the CLE-ORD-MSP and MSP-ORD-MIA routes. N461US is framed by Boeing in the original delivery colors." |
