I took a drive to Murfreesboro, Nashville, and Smyrna, Tennesse Friday and Saturday. At Murfreesboro I saw the 727-100 (N117FE) which FedEx donated to the Middle Tennessee State University aviation program.
At MQY I saw several Jetstreams 31s, a Jetstream 41, three Ameriflight aircraft, and some other, less interesting things. Also seen, but from afar were some of the 727s which have been parked there for many years. I think the former American Connection Jetstreams were still there but moved to a place I could not get near. Just outside the airport fence was Sun Country 727-200 N291SC...in several large pieces.
At BNA I saw a Polet SF-340, an ALAS EMB-145, twenty Delta Connection EMB-145s (Freedom Airlines), a FedEx 757-200, a Southwest 737-700 Shamu, Southwest 737-700 Nolan Ryan Express, and some other "common" things.
