I didn't go downtown last year, but I know some of you did. My understanding is that they pushed everyone back to the line on the image below.
Question: Is the Mather open during this time? It might be worth paying to get on her during practice and head for the stern. What about the area encircled?
Does anyone know if the lot with a "?" is open for public parking? How much?
Thanks!!!
Don
The mather should be open that day. You can contact them to find out for sure though. Your line should be drawn down to across from the GoodTime 3. That is the last place where you can officially hang out according to the FAA the rest of the joint behind the GoodTime 3 is a restricted area, you could park your car there but could not hang out there. It was funny since there was a event of some sort going on in the park past the GoodTime and they were allowed to be in the no hang out zone. I heard there is another event at this park this year for George Voinivich that may close the whole pier. Not sure how true it is though as they will still need to let cars park for the GoodTime unless they have rented that for the day for the party as well. I plan I heading down to the park early. Last year they opened around 7ish or 8ish in the morning if memory serves me correctly.
