Hello everyone. I just signed up here on the site about a week or so ago and wanted to say hi. I've been spotting CMH and OSU for over 2 years now, and I am an ex-employee of Lane Aviation. I'd love to go to DTW here in the spring since, if I'm not mistaken, it is the closest airport with regular heavies and we very rarely get those at CMH. Anyway, keep updating the geek alert section and I'll do the same if I have any info. I hope to see some of you out there!

CVG may be a good place for you to visit, they get some Heavies from DHL. I'm pretty sure they get a 748 (not sure what day) Check Flightaware and that should help you determine the best time to be there. I remember a nice little spotting area.  Welcome to Opshots! hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.

Welcome to OPShots!  Be sure to check out the great airport guide Mark Plumley put together for spotting at Detroit. It's in the airport guide section area on the homepage. If you have any questions let me know, I've been there 7 or 8 times. I can let you know where to go for the best chance to see the heavy metal.
