I have come across difficulty with the following issues:

(a) When updating profile, I did not see a button to add/update AVATAR or photo [the previous format had this provision].

(b) When pasting a URL link into a new post, the URL does not show the video box, but remains as a URL link.MOst other Forum now have the facility of showing the video box [including Facebook].

(c) When looking at various posts, I did not see the actaul dates when the posts were submitted.[It only states 1 week ago or 6 month ago...and not 04/08/2011 6:56pm EST]

Hi Ronald,

For the video posts we changed a few months back to a more lighter forums due to our old forums taking up a lot of bandwidth from the site. We are a Aviation photo gallery site and although we love our forums and sense of community it brings it also cannot be our sole purpose on the world wide web. The forums we use are a basic conversation only type of setup. A new version of the forums script is around the corner from being released and may include some of the other features such as post dates and automatically reading urls to post thumbnails of videos and photos.

However we cannot stress enough that most of these features are just not in our best interest as they really do add up quickly in the cost of bandwidth.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
