So does that mean that my user gallery photos may be taken out of the photo gallery at some point or if they are in there now they will stay there.

No...anything you already have in the aviation galleries will stay there.  The only galleries that will be removed in the future will be the old non-aviation galleries that were present on the old setup.  Not that we didn't like or appreciate those shots (I have a bunch too) but we want to focus on aviation only at this time.  Like Mark said, in the future, the old gallery may become available for other things for all of us, but for now it will remain offline. :)

When I went in there to approve your photos, for some reason there was no photo attached to that particular upload, so I rejected it.  Give it another shot!

OK, that's a bit strange. While it was pending the photo was there, but not the airline info I forgot to put in. Anyway, loaded it again.

Well....I have a confession to make!  After I deleted the one out of your queue, I noticed the same thing happening with chrisjakes photos.  I emailed Mark and found out that the reason I wasn't seeing a photo was because there wasn't any airline info entered, and that I had to edit before I could see the picture.  It's a quirk of the screening page we use that I was unaware of, so...my bad!
The new gallery is a learning process for all of us, with time it will all come easily.  Thanks for your patience!

I found a small error that must happened with the switch: one of my photos, ID7099, lists the airport as HOG, an airport in Cuba, though it was really in OGG, Maui.
