I dont know if anybody saw this but XJET flight 4518 (DFW-CLE) diverted to Cuyahoga County Airport yesterday due to the storm approaching CLE.  I wondered why they didn't go to YNG,CAK or ERI but I guess they were low on fuel.

A flight from KIAD was diverted to KCGF as well.

That may be the one, I thought they said Dallas but it could be Dulles!

Yes, it was quite interesting!  He was number two on final when he did a go around, and then we couldn't figure out where he went for a few minutes!  CGF isn't a regular diversion field, but apparently the flight from Dallas (not Dulles) left him lower on fuel than he was comfortable with.  (I don't recall the original flight number.)

9131 is one of several generic flight numbers used to designate ferry flights, and the one you are looking flew from Dulles to CLE on the 20th.  That same flight number was also used for the ferry flight from CGF to CLE on the 26th.  (All the passengers were bussed from CGF.)

It must have been exciting for CGF's tower and staff. I wish I had been there.

That's a different development.  I can understand the XO Jet going there but the other one is pretty interesting.

The three minute CFG-CLE flight time was interesting.  I thought today's ATC meant every flight had to be at least a half hour long.      Cool
