As Continental and United get closer to merging their entire operations into UNITED ,I ask the question was the CO globe the best logo design for the "new" United? In this picture I caught at SFO a couple weeks ago ,it shows the last three tails from the combined airline....I still like the globe for the corporate image. What do you think??You need to be a member to view our links.

I would have stuck with the CO tail, but utilized the UA "U" somewhere else, perhaps on the fuselage, or as the initial letter in United.  Nice catch of the trio by the way. 🙂

I like the globe tail, but I would have preferred they kept the tri-color cheat line (from the older gray and blue scheme).  It would bring some extra color into the mix.  It probably costs too much, though.  (It costs more on models, too - I hand-painted it and had to use three unique colors).

I'm sure at some point post-merger there will be an all new scheme designed.  The current one seems like a quick combination of the two.

I wouldnt even bother with repainting some of those planes. Leave most in Continental paint to continue to spirit of said airlines. United Airlines can be plastered near the front door of the aircraft or simply in smaller font infront of Continental. This can be this way until a final, new scheme can be come up with.
