Hi All! Yours truly is departing tomorrow morning on his next Big Adventure! Believe it or not...I'm going to Sydney, Australia! I can't friggin' believe it myself, and you can bet I'm really excited!
Mark is in charge while I'm away, so if you have any issues please address them to him.
I should have internet where I'm staying, so I'll try to stay in touch! Take care everyone, and I can't wait to start uploading some cool shots from Down Under!

Hi All! Okay...we made it to SFO, and our room has a balcony overlooking the Bay...already catching some cool stuff! While waiting for the airport shuttle, I got a Korean A380 overhead, and also got a Lufthansa A380 at the gate here in SFO. Tomorrow...the journey continues!

Hi All! Well, I just got back home to CLE after a week away, and even though it's hot here and I loved my trip, it's still good to be home!
It looks like you guys have been very busy while I've been away as well, as I see a ton of great new shots in the gallery! Thanks everyone, and thanks Mark for taking care of the queue this week 
I'll have to look at them all soon!
I was on five different aircraft and at six different airports; an A320/UA CLE-DEN), a 757-200/UA (DEN-SFO), two 747-422's (SFO-NAN-SYD, and SYD-LAX), and a 73-824/CO from LAX to CLE. We landed at about 2130 this evening. On the way to Sydney, we spent the first night and day in San Francisco staying in Burlingame across the water and I got tons and tons of shots from there, the when we left the next day we diverted to FIJI (!) to wait out bad weather at SYD. We couldn't get off the plane, but I think I got some cool shots from there anyway!
I spent a full day at Sydney on their observation deck (free, and open to the public...if only US airports were so accommodating), and I managed to squeeze off a few at LAX on my way home today. Also, from my hotel patio I caught a few departing aircraft overhead.
I'm going to edit a few shots tonight before total fatigue takes over, but I'm anxious to share some of my adventure with you all!

Thanks! Yeah, it was a great time and I've been reliving it this week while editing pictures. I want to go back!

The gallery of birds is awesome! The White Ibis is one ugly bird. The close up of the Noisy Miner is stunning. Did you have time to get some pics from the beach next to the airport?

Thanks Dave! Yeah, those white ibis are dirty and they actually have an odor about them as well! Not like the ones we have here in the states. They are becoming nuisance birds there! No, I never made it to that beach at SYD, I wanted to but the seas were so high that it probably would have been difficult anyway. Maybe next time!
