Cleveland 12/17 -- United Flight 268 diverted to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport because of smoke in the cockpit.

The plane was traveling from LAX to EWR. The plane departed LAX at 10:17 and landed without incident at CLE at 14:14, and was on its way to the gate around 14:20. Passengers were taken on UAL1245 the rest of the way to Newark; which was scheduled to depart at 14:51, (usually departs at 15:26). The flight actually departed CLE at 16:01 and arrived at EWR at 17:02.
