Had to go out to RUH today to an ambulance factory there.
When we got near the factory, I noticed some white 747's sitting nearby. When we got closer, I was able to see that they were marked "Syrian" on the fuselage. They were in pretty sad shape with pieces missing off of them and stuff.
I believe the area that they were parked in is a refurb, or salvage area, as there were some very old Saudia planes there, as well.
Not sure about photography there. They have signs posted stating none is allowed, and the Saudis themselves are very camera-shy. Maybe some day, I'll get out there and give it a shot. I need to get my paperwork renewed first.
