This is pretty cool.  I recommend watching this in full screen, in a dark room, with sound on.

You know...I just forwarded this to a bunch of people and then watched it again, and it may be even better the second time around!  This has to be one of the coolest aviation videos I've seen in a long time.  I don't know which part I like better...the flying or the taxiing?  Seeing that 747 taxi by, the inset taxiway lighting, pausing for the emergency vehicles...it's just great!  Thanks again, Chris!

(Now I'm gonna watch it one more time...) 🙂

I love the little sound bits they put in.  The sirens when you fly over Watts, the whoosh as the planes take off from runway 25L as you taxi in the opposite direction, and the European style sirens when the emergency vehicles go paste you.

Also... at the 1:06 mark...if you can pick out the Santa Monica airport right at the airplane's pito tube, you can see a small plane taking off SMO's runway 21

I loved the sound bits too!  I caught everything you mentioned, and even saw Santa Monica airport, but missed the plane taking off.  Darn...I'll have to watch again!

I caught that plane rotating. Nice!
