a group of legendary birds will now fly off into the sunset. Sad Delta cant keep them operating. Those Dc-9s remind me of an ole Pontiac 6000. Sad thing is, ive never rode on a DC-9 before in my life. Been on quite a few but never rode any....always  got stuck wit MD88s with Delta.

RIP you 6. Yall have served faithfully.

Powered by a 300hp John Deere 6081H Natural Gas fueled engine connected to an Allison B400R6 six speed automatic transmission.

Did any of those ever fly out of CLE on a regular basis? There were two Northwest aircraft when I was on the Pt 150 working group for CLE that everyone was complaining about.

Five of the six airplane went to SFB January 3.  The sixth, N752NW, went to SFB January 4.

The last revenue service of a Delta/Northwest DC-9-40 was DAL1519/02JAN MSN-MSP and was operated by N755NW.
