From United Daily:

First Airbus with new livery makes first revenue flights Friday
Posted January 21, 2011

The first Airbus to sport the new livery left the paint facility on Friday and returned to revenue service.

Pictured: The first A319 in new United livery outside a paint facility on a rainy day in Greenville, Miss.

We ferried Aircraft 4053 (N853UA), an A319, from Greenville (GLH), Miss., to ORD Friday morning. From there, its first revenue flight in the new livery was Flight 279 to DEN. After a round trip to Des Moines (DSM), the plane is scheduled to fly to Oakland (OAK), where it will remain overnight.

Currently, three Airbus aircraft are at the paint facility in Mississippi. We are repainting two A320s and another A319, which will soon return to revenue flying.

I know!  Not since the A300's left the fleet has an Airbus worn these colors.  It actually doesn't look too bad...besides. we better get used to it regardless!

As unhappy as I am about no longer having an all-Boeing fleet, I have to agree it doesn't look that bad.  Not like the bigger aircraft with the United titles and the CO livery!

For the sake of curiosity, when did the A300's leave the fleet?

I agree.  It is not great, but decent.  The A319s serve ATL so maybe I will see one soon!

No worries!  I thought it looked wrong, so I looked it up.  I knew that the CO birds all ended with a 900 series number, and was surprised when I saw the "C" and thought I'd missed something.  (Wouldn't be the first time!)
