I post there from time to time, but frankly, I am annoyed with it as well.  The site has turned into a place for teens and arm chair CEOs, not to mention all the annoying politics related threads in non-av.  I stick to tech-ops to answer some technical questions or ask some of my own, and an occasional post in civil aviation. 

Based on what I have seen, Demand Media has successfully transformed A.net from a good website into a profit-driven e-commerce website.  A.net has unfortunately lost several good people on there...oh well, their loss.
