Hello

I received an e-mail from AOPA, that states there will be TFR over Detroit due to Pres. Obama's planned visit. Does anyone else have this info also? Would anyone know what runway he might be using?  Where are the best places to spot?

Please only post information about VIP movements with a link to a public article. Also the post does not belong in the GEEK alert section. The reason being is this aircraft movement is not coming to the three areas we have listed for GEEK alerts which are Cleveland, Columbus and Akron areas.

When a GEEK alert is posted it automatically goes to our Twitter and Facebook accounts which is sent to a lot of different people. When the GEEK Alert is not actually an alert meant for the areas mentioned above this makes OPShots kind of look bad. Thank you for your cooperation and as always if any questions post in the General Aviation Forum first. Chuck or I can always move your post to the appropriate forum as needed.

At Detroit there are several spotting areas. Please be aware with a VIP movement some of these areas may be closed, Check the url below for areas to spot at DTW:
