The Weather Channel is reporting "a plane in the mud" at MDW. I don't have any more information as to whether the plane is off a taxiway or runway.

The FAA is reporting delays at MDW ( You need to be a member to view our links. ) WLS-TV Chicago

Oops...they did it again! Glad no one was hurt, but I'm interested to find out why they missed the EMAS system entirely!?

Yeah, I noticed that - it looks like they went to the left of the EMAS at the end of the runway!

Just that it was a rough landing in heavy rain and the plane did go off the end of the runway, not a taxiway. (Gleaned from various news reports) Still wondering why it went off the side instead of into the EMAS.

Guessing if it was hydroplaning and sliding they didn't have a lot of steering authority to keep it on the runway.
