Very cool shots.  I gotta say, I've always loved the C-46.  As a kid, I always thought of it as the DC-3's cooler brother, even though I now know they aren't even related.  I think I fell in love with them when my Dad was performing in the Ortner air show years ago...mid seventies sometime...and Ortner had one at his tiny little airport in Wakeman, OH. 

I've been getting a kick out of watching them on "Ice Pilots" on the History channel.
