Hey guys!

I was doing some cleaning today and came across an old shoebox i have filled with airplane pictures. I have a few empty photo albums so i decided to spend my saturday evening enjoying a good beer ( Troegs Java Head ) and putting the pictures in they're new home.  It has been a lot of fun looking through all these old photos from the mid to late 90's.  I have pictures from ORD, DTW, YYZ, CVG, SDF, LAX, and CLE.  I also found all the negatives and i was wondering if there is a way to scan these and get them onto my computer, and eventually to the site.  thanks for any info and I'm putting this album into the trunk of my car so if any of you guys see me at the airport just ask to see it. There sure is a few suprises and old treasures in this one!  Have a great weekend!

Scott

Hi Scott.  Sounds like a treasure trove you've got there!  I know there is a way to scan negatives, but I have yet to learn how, but it's fairly easy to scan photos and save them on your computer for editing.  There's a lot of scanned photos and slides on the site.  Do you have a good scanner?  Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it!  Can't wait to see what you've got there!

If you have photoshop and a older flatbed scanner, you can probably scan and apply a filter to do the conversion. There are even some scanners whose software (or software driver) let you select you are scanning negative film and do the conversion before the PhotoShop import.
