I visited this airport two summers ago when I was doing a survey and documentation of small airfields. Gretchen Reed and her family were pleased to meet someone who loves aviation, and were generous beyond anything I could have expected for an impromptu visit. Mrs. Reed has now set up a trust by which her little airport and numerous restored or built-from-scratch replicas will go to Lake Erie College upon her death. (This is something she told me about when I visited but I kept confidential until became official.)
