Behind the Benjamin O. Davis aviation school sits what appears to be an old derelict airliner, possibly a DC-3?

Does anyone know the identity or history of this aircraft. I have looked to see if I can find a photo in the gallery but no joy there!

Thanks for any info.

Mark

I know that thing has been back there forever, but I have no idea of its history or what else is back there. For a while there were quite a few derelict aircraft there.

I thought I replied to this one before but - there is an old DC-3 back there.  I'll have to ask around if anyone knows anything about it.

At 10am this morning I saw the cockpit & fuselage of this aircraft on a Low-Loader on E55th Street bridge over the Lakeshore Expressway as I drove home from the airport. No markings visible. So it has now gone from BKL! Frown

Wasn't that a DC-3 used for maintenance training at the old Aviation High School?

Constant must be moving in soon then right? Seems like they are cleaning up?
