The photos of N401NX in the gallery call it a Beechcraft/Raytheon 400A.  I believe it is one of the Nextant rebuilds. Is 400A still the correct designation?

 

Nice looking.  Make that gold splash a little more orange and they can sell one to the new Browns owner.  Cool

Flight Ops is adding some of these to it's fleet.  Easiest way to tell the difference is the Nextants don't have TR's on the engines where as the Beechjets do.

About a year ago Nextant talked about adding winglets to the 400XT. I wonder what happened to that plan.  Apparently Raytheon has included them in their own rebuild program.

Raytheon's only problem (aside from cost and performance disadvantages) is their product is about 2 years away from certification.  Wink
