Hi all,

My name is Fredrik Lindahl and I’m part of the team behind the FlightRadar24.com website/iPhone app/Android app.

Our goal is to provide truly global coverage for our live airplane traffic service.  We already have several hundred volunteers around the world that supply us with data, but we are always looking for more contributors.

We are currently focusing much of our attention on expanding our coverage in North America and we have receivers and antennas available primarily for North American locations where we lack coverage today.

If you are interested in our free equipment offer, please don’t hesitate to contact me at You need to be a member to view our links.. The supply is limited but we will try to accommodate as many as possible.

If you already have ADS-B equipment and want to share data with us, please see You need to be a member to view our links. for how you can contribute. Free iPhone apps are available to contributors.

If you have any other questions or need further information, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thanks,

Fredrik Lindahl

If anyone has an unobstructed view of the sky, I ask you to check out Flightradar24 and see if you could help.    For altitude spotting, nothing comes close to this app.   It's real-time, no delay, and it uses Augmented Reality (AR) which is way cool in itself.  I point my ipad at the sky, and it tells me what aircraft are there....right down to their registration number.

US airlines have been slow to adapt to this type of radar, but all will be required to do so in the next couple of years.  The coverage in the US is limited and Flightradar24 needs some help.    I can track flights coming from Europe via Canadian hosts, but the coverage stops just mere miles from Cleveland.

I have too many trees covering my house or else I would be all over this offer.    The antenna is approx. one foot tall, so its not intrusive.  Check it out and see what you think.

Do these antennae require mounting to a building?

I would think it would have to be mounted to something

Go to the website, or email Fredrik.    When I googled ADS-B antenna, I got numerous pics of different ways to mount it.
