Michi - I'll have to look for you on Sunday - I'm heading up there to take in the show.  TOM is a great show!

Did you go?  I was there both days with the plane.  Although on Sunday the TOM guys didn't offer any airshow fuel to the bombers and we didn't get to fly, so we bailed early and flew back home.  There was a bunch of neat stuff there and the WWII recreation was interesting too.  I had never actually seen old tanks running up close.  Pretty cool.

On Saturday we will be doing a formation flyover at the Norwalk Raceway Park.

Hey Michi, I'm going to be up at the cottage on Saturday with my folks and my brother and his family...when will you be flying to Norwalk?

Michi - we did make it up there.  Was busier than I thought so didn't get a chance to look you up.  Plane looks great though - very nice!  I was disappointed that a lot of aircraft left early on Sunday.  Good luck on the checkride!

Yeah, the airshow didn't have enough fuel for the bombers on Sunday, so they only fueled the fighters.  We weren't too thrilled.  So we packed up early on Sunday and flew home before everyone else did.

Ran out of time and good weather yesterday, so I didn't get my check ride in.  Next time...  We did do our formation fly-by with 3 T-6's though over the Summit Raceway.  That was fun.

And Chuck came by around noon so we got him into the cockpit of the Tuskegee P-51.  Unfortunately I ran out of time to show him the interior of the B-25.

Sorry about your check ride, but still so happy for you.  The time will come, amigo!  I'm really glad I got to see you up there, and thanks for getting me into the P-51 cockpit...awesome cool!  Your (Liberty Aviation Museum's)  B-25 is just beautiful, and I got some great shots.  I'm thrilled about the Ford Tri-Motor rebuild under way too, and I can't wait until the rest of the museum gets fleshed-out.  It's already very cool and I think it will be a very popular destination for aviation buffs.

For those who don't know, Liberty Aviation Museum is restoring (well, more like completely rebuilding!) the Ford Tri-Motor which they plan on painting into Island Airways colors and making flyable, so there will be a Tri-Motor in the islands once again!  I flew on them when I was a kid and I still remember every bit of the flight from Port Clinton to Put-in-Bay and back.  I remember that the right main wheel spun from the time we took off until we landed!

Visit the Liberty Aviation Museum site here, and donate if you can!
