I have been lucky to be part of a group of dedicated people who are flying a B-25 and are building a museum on the airport grounds of Port Clinton's airport (KPCW - Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport - Carl R. Keller Field).  The museum is now finished and the grand opening is tomorrow and Saturday.  See the link to the flyer, should be a fun occasion, free for all to join in:

I'm so excited for you Michi, what a great thing to be involved in!  I don't know if I'll be able to make it out there as I have a memorial service for a distant relative to attend that day, but we'll see.  I hope it goes great for you guys, and I love PCW...what a great airport for many cool reasons!

Thanks guys.  It went really well, huge success.  You guys should definitely go visit  the museum if you are ever in the area.  I may be flying the B-25 to Oshkosh on Monday depending on how things work out.

Planning on getting out there at some point.  Hope you get to take the '25 to OSH - that would be fun!

Best of luck. I remember flying a Boeing 247 (yes, I mean 247) from Port Clinton to Pelee Island when I was a kid.  My first international flight!

A 247?  Man...now that's something!  Glad the event went well, Michi, I'll definitely be getting up there soon!

Our B-25 is in Oshkosh right now, and even won the "Best B-25" award.  Unfortunately I have to work so I couldn't go.  However, I will be taking the B-25 to "Thunder of Michigan" next weekend, not quite the same, but when you are on a B-25, it doesn't matter where you go...

My family is going up to the cottage for a weekend stay in August...I bet I can twist my Dad and brother's arms hard enough to get them to want to go!

SUPER congrats on the Thunder Over Michigan gig!!  How awesome!  In what capacity will you be going?  When you say "I will be taking the B-25..."  you will be taking it how?

Well, let me know when you go up there.  Maybe I can meet up with you.

On this trip I am going as a "spotter", as in looking for other airplanes during airshow flying.  I have my B-25 check ride (as in flying it) sometime in the middle of August.
