Kent State University will host the 21st Aeronautics Fair from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Andrew W. Paton Field at the Kent State University Airport, 4020 Kent Road, Stow.
For the first time, Kent State students and employees will provide a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., with proceeds benefiting students.
Speakers include WWII veteran and Tuskegee Airman Roy S. Richardson at 11 a.m. and Cold War and Vietnam War veteran Ken Ramsay at 1 p.m.
The Kent State Precision Flight Team will offer airplane rides on a first-come, first-served basis for $30 per person.
The airport will collect pet food donations for local animal shelters. The airport's Props-4-Paws fall pet food drive will continue until Nov. 13 with the goal of collecting 2,000 pounds of food.
